I was looking for cool 4th of July recipe ideas and found one that has food everyone loves. It’s simple. And it’s kind of goofy stupid fun. Think charcuterie board, but replace the fancy meat, cheese, and crackers with hot dogs and condiments. Well-ah! You have a Hot Dog Board. It can look fancy if you place the hots dogs in artsy way with the condiments in the middle. And it doesn’t have to be one kind of hot dog. Toss in some bratwurst or kielbasa. Have different types of buns like brioche, pretzel, and wheat. And feel free to go beyond ketchup and mustard. Have some goat cheese, salsa, chili, and maybe even a bowl of mac and cheese to top your dog. I was just telling Jenny this morning that we hadn’t had hot dogs in a couple of years. I just made myself hungry to try a lot of them with all sorts of toppings like maybe ketchup mixed with something spicy and a little mayo. That’ll be an extra 2 hours on the treadmill.
