How cool would it be if you were on vacation and every morning you woke up to a giraffe peeking through your bedroom window? There’s a place called Giraffe Manor in Kenya where the hotel suites are located next to a preserve for an endangered species of giraffe. At 5 each afternoon, the giraffes move from the preserves to the land the suites are on and can interact with guests if they want to. They usually want to because they know they’ll get pets and treats. They have outdoor tables so you can have dinner with the giraffes and other animals hanging out with you. The suites are two levels. I wasn’t joking about the giraffes sticking their heads in the windows. There are also large windows in the dining room so that giraffes can poke their heads in during breakfast too. There are only 12 rooms, so you have to book about a year in advance.
Not to forget that we have a really great giraffe experience at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo where you can feed them and get pretty close.
