I had my first official sighting of Pumpkin Spice products Saturday. They popped up early this year, before Labor Day. I think that means there’s going to be 6 more weeks of fall. One was a bottle of Pumpkin Maple Bisque. The other is Pumpkin Chipotle Pasta Sauce. I’m a foodie, so, of course, I’m interested in them. I’m imagining using the bisque in a pancake, waffle, or French toast recipe. Or simply as a topping on the pancakes. Chipotle and pumpkin together though? I doubt that’s going to go well on pasta unless you work in lamb or maybe duck. I don’t know. I’d have to taste it first.
There should be a law for limited time, seasonal flavors like pumpkin spiced anything. It’d require that every product also offer sampler sizes instead of paying 3 bucks for a bottle of full of something we don’t like.
