Human skull in Goodwill donation bin. Vid in blog. Also, not as creepy as some dolls that get donated.

Everyone loves those unexpected finds at garage sales and thrift stores. You know what I’m talking about; million dollar paintings, designer handbags, human skulls………….  Yeah, a Goodwill in Goodyear, Arizona found a real human skull inside of a donation box last week.

It wasn’t the tidy looking, all white, perfectly formed kind of skull you see treasure hunters and explorers find in the movies. This is the gross, it looks like you just dug it up out of the garden, holes all over, and dirty splotches kind of skull. You know how some things just look like they smell bad. That’s this skull.

It also came with a plastic fake eye inserted into a socket; just one, not both. And there are 5 teeth that don’t look real to me, but it’s hard to tell. The police ran tests and it isn’t connected to any crime. Police still have it, but it could be returned to the Goodwill. And they can sell it. I checked a few sources and they all say that there is not federal law that prohibits people in the U.S. from owning  or selling human bones.

So, yes, it is possible to buy a skull, apply some filler for the holes, do a little polishing, and then drink wine from it while cursing your enemies. I’m thinking a nice merlot.
