The Nebraska Wildlife Education group is reminding people that putting up fake spider webs outside is dangerous for animals. I second that. I’ve seen people put up fake webs that could hold a large dog. Besides that, they can tangle up squirrels, owls, bats, birds, hummingbirds, bees, and a wide variety of young and small animals. Wildlife care facilities end up treating critters every year because of this. Also, a lot of the fake spider web stuff you use is not biodegradable. Some of it’s going to break off your lawn and get caught in the environment for years. So keep the webs in the house and put something different outside.
