A lot of what the Hollywood writers and actors strike has been about is using artificial intelligence to write scripts like other people and to create likenesses based on starsā¦ā¦. Or rather, guarantees about not using it.
On the other end of the spectrum, Mick Jagger has given thumbs up to using AI to create holograms of the Rolling Stones for concerts after they die. He told the Wall Street Journal that heād be open to the idea, kind of like the recent ABBA āVoyageā concert that used holograms. Mick, by the way is 80 and Keith is 79. Both say theyāre living healthy, so itād be a while off. He didnāt comment on whether heād be okay with an AI writing new Rolling Stones music and performing it for those hologram shows.
Iām good with the hologram part, but not the new music aspect. Use the old music with holograms. Just last year, Harrahās in Vegas did a hologram Whitney Houston concert. There have been Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly hologram concerts. There was a Michael Jackson hologram performance in 2014. Also, Amy Winehouse, Tupac, and even opera star Maria Callas. I thought hers looked the best. It actually left a reflection of her on the floor.
