A dog at the Nebraska Humane Society saved a cat’s life by giving the cart some of his blood. The dog, named Bret Michaels after the singer from 80s glam band Poison, is a 6 year old Siberian Husky. The poor kitty had so many fleas that it was low on red blood cells. So low that they didn’t have time to do blood tests for a donor. So, they were able to do a transfusion from dog to cat. Apparently it can be done once. This happened last week and the kitten is doing better.
Bret Michaels, the singer heard about it. He recently lost his own dog. His people contacted the Nebraska Humane Society, and I believe Bret the man has already adopted Bret the dog.
