Winter Storm Watch Sunday Evening Through Tuesday Morning

Periods of light snow will continue across parts of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa tonight with light accumulations, generally less than half an inch are expected.

A strong weather system will affect the region beginning Sunday night and continuing through Monday night. There is a greater than 90% chance of accumulating snow and at least minor travel impacts.

* WHAT…Heavy snow is possible. Total snow accumulations between 4 and  7 inches are possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of southwest and west central Iowa and east central, northeast, and southeast Nebraska.

* WHEN…From Sunday evening through late Monday night.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
