Everything at the Super Bowl is going to be solar powered. The lights, the locker rooms, the restaurants, everything inside of Allegiant Stadium including Usher’s performance will be getting juice from a spot in the desert with a 621,000 solar panels and giant batteries. That enough for everything in the stadium or, 60,000 homes. I didn’t realize a stadium sucks up that much power. If there are clouds, those giant batteries can power all of that for 5 hours.
Another fun fact about that stadium is that the roof is made of sustainable plastic that blocks all solar heat, keeping the need for power to air conditioning down. Also, a lot of the garbage including grass clippings from the field are composted or converted to other forms of energy.
Of course, if Taylor Swift shows up, they’ll probably have to tap into a nuclear reactor for her to plug into because of everything she’s been doing lately.
