Cats can’t take Ozempic. So, what do they do if they let themselves go and need to lose a lot of pounds? Make them swim it off! Cats just love water!
Seriously though, a cat named Moses in England was twice as heavy as a healthy cat. His owner put Moses on diets and tried to get him to exercise. Moses wasn’t having it. So, hydrotherapy. A vet clinic hooked up a cat size treadmill inside a water enclosure. They fit Moses in a floatation vest and put him to work. Since starting, he’s lost a few pounds, swims a bit after running, has built up muscle, and is more active at home.
My guess is that Moses getting into fighting shape so he can lay a beat down on his human for putting him through this.
By the way, hydrotherapy has been used for a while to help injured cats regain mobility.
