Because it’s become a holiday tradition that there has to be a shortage of something every year around that time………… make way for the 2021 turkey shortage!
People that run the meat industry are saying there are labor, production, and transportation challenges this year. Because of that, you may have to actually go with a goose for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They’re saying it’ll be a shortage of smaller turkeys, 16 pounds or less. Although, 16 pounds sounds like a lot to me. Anyways…………
I’ve bought a turkey on sale, kept it frozen solid for nearly a year, and then roasted it before. It was just as tasty as if it’d been frozen for a month. In fact, I have two smaller turkeys in the freezer right now that I bought last January when they were really cheap. But, I could be convinced to sell one for T-Day this year if the price were right. Say, $100 a pound, seeing as how there’s going to be a shortage and all.
