In health news, a new study out of Duke Cancer Research has found a potential link between high cholesterol and breast cancer. They found that the cancer cells actually use cholesterol to make themselves stronger and making it easier for them to spread to other parts of the body and other organs. The flip side is that they also discovered that, under this circumstance, they only need to block a specific protein in order to keep the tumors from growing and spreading.
Besides breast cancer issues, high cholesterol is linked to heart disease and Alzheimer’s among other problems.
