Large list of New Year’s resolutions suggestions.

By Austin Michael Dec 30, 2021 | 1:13 PM

This sounds kind of silly, but a lot of people don’t have any idea of what resolutions they should make for the new year. Not a problem. Good Housekeeping came up with a list of 60 suggestions. They include the usual stuff like managing money better, drink less, and quit smoking. But there are some others that sound more fun. Like “Cook Something New Each Week” and “Start Doing Yoga With Your Partner”. They point out that couples yoga isn’t only healthy, but often helps couples be more comfortable with each other’s bodies and leads to better…… um, intimacy.

They also suggest consider getting therapy which seems sort of drastic to most people, but most people don’t realize how much better they’d feel letting stuff out.  Especially after the last couple years.

If you do resolve to work out, listen to novels while you do it. A study from Management Science found that people who took audio books with them worked out 51% more often than people who didn’t. Just a couple weeks ago, I started listening to podcasts at the gym instead of the intense music. Time goes by a lot faster on the treadmill.

Finally, this is one of my favorites suggestions, “Give yourself compliments”. You deserve it.
