I think that I have pretty clearly made my love for Betty White known since day 1. I mean but honestly, who didn’t love Betty. Her appeal, well, appealed to literally just about everyone. If you look at the tributes pouring in from Betty, from celebs and us normal peeps, you will see that EVERYONE, no matter what you look like, loves Betty. Betty was a pioneer and had an amazing time, doing what she did. What better way to honor her than some of the most amazing Betty videos you will ever see, all in one spot.
One of my favorites, and probably one of her more talked about moments, was her Snickers commercial.
Of course, we can’t forget about Betty kicking serious butt on WWE Raw.
I bet you forgot about the time that Betty teamed up with Buckcherry and Shaq to play basketball (for an amazing cause of course).
And what about Betty’s “Voice” audition (to promote the movie “The Lorax”)
Betty was a comedic genius. Of course everyone knows her as Rose from “The Golden Girls,” but Elka from “Hot in Cleveland,” will forever be one of my favorite Betty roles. Enjoy some outtakes.
Last but not least, Betty was an ally for everyone. She had a show in 1954, and one of her guests was dance Arthur Duncan. Well, in 1954, some of her audience and sponsors didn’t like Betty being “chummy” with an African-American male on the show and she was told to stop having him on or she would be cancelled. In very Betty like fashion, she did quite the opposite, she actually had him on more. Here’s a clip from her 1954 show, “The Betty White Show.” (The interview and Arthur’s dance start around 8:15)
I think Ryan Reynolds summed it up best in his tribute when he said “she grew very old and somehow not old enough.” We love you Betty!
