A 555 karat diamond is being auctioned this coming weekend. That could be a headline all by itself. However, the diamond I’m talking about is also from outer space! They can tell this giant diamond, named the Enigma Diamond, isn’t from Earth because it has traces of osbornite in it. Osbornite, which totally sounds like it came out of a Superman comic, actually totally comes out of meteor. Literally. That’s the only place it can be found. It’s color is dark, not all sparkly and clear. But it’s still neat looking.
Here’s the thing. No one can trace it back past the current owner. No one knows who found it where. So, we have space diamond with a hidden past and…… well, one simply has to watch movies to know where this could lead; either super powers or world destruction.
They expect the Enigma diamond to sell for 4 to 7 million dollars.
