The M&M characters are getting new personalities. For starters, the green and brown, female, M&Ms are now more feminist. And the tweet that M&Ms put out showing the two sitting on a bench by the beach, holding hands, and captioned, “It’s rare Brown and I get to spend time together without some colorful characters barging in” which some people think means they’re a couple. But, I think it’s more to show that they’re friendlier to each other instead of being catty like they’ve been in some commercials.

The red one will be less bossy. The orange one is going to be more anxious about things. The idea is to brand them as more inclusive towards every one of every shape, size, and color.

They’ve made some major changes in the past. You should see the commercials from the 70s and 80s.
