There’s a new Pepsi coming. They’re changing the bubbles. Explanation and video in blog.

Pepsi has new soda comping out, but it’s not a new flavor or another brand. It’s got nitrogen in it instead of carbon dioxide. I heard about this and naturally asked, “Why?” I mean, bubbles are bubbles, right. Not so fast. I did some research. It turns out that nitrogen bubbles are smaller than CO2 bubbles in drinks. That’s supposed to change the flavor a bit as well as the experience. I don’t know about that, but I do know that Guinness beer and many coffees are already using nitrogen. Pepsi will have it in regular and vanilla flavors. The official release date will be March 28th. But, you can preorder at Walmart’s website which I looked at and they ain’t cheap. A 12 pack of 13 ounce cans is $24. It seems kind of like when Hershey added bubbles to the chocolate bars and tried to pawn them off as a new flavor experience when all it was was a way to use less chocolate and charge more. I do like the glass they pour the Pepsi into in the commercial though. I’d pay a couple of bucks for that.
