I think fast food places are at the point now that they’re literally just throwing random things together and then seeing if anyone will eat them. A couple weeks ago, McDonald’s started putting fish, chicken, and hamburgers all on the same buns as well as other mixes. Now, Domino’s has a pizza with 34 toppings. It’s called the Best 34 Pizza. Mayonnaise, corn, bacon, fish eggs, beef ribs, and pineapple to name just a few. Not every topping is on every slice. They break they pizza up into 4 sections, each with a variety of the 34 toppings.
I should mention that it’s only available in Japan. I watched the promo video for the pizza, but it’s in Japanese and I couldn’t understand it, so I can’t tell what the combinations of toppings are. I can tell you it looks gooey because there are a lot of sauces on it. They’re big on mayonnaise in Japan. It’s so hard to describe how much to anyone who hasn’t been there. I was in a 7-11 in Tokyo, looking through the snack aisle. They were selling hot dog buns that were filled with mayonnaise and corn on top. Imagine a hot dog bun completely filled with mayonnaise. They put it on everything.
Here are all the toppings: tomato sauce, basil sauce, white sauce, cheese, Hokkaido gouda and cheddar cheese, onions, green peppers, spinach, rice cake, pepperoni, big pepperoni, ham, potato slices, pineapple, pork sausage, Italian sausage, corn, beef ribs, pancetta, charcoal-grilled beef, teriyaki chicken, roast chicken, seafood mix, shrimp, mushrooms, mayonnaise, spicy cod roe mayonnaise sauce, bacon, cherry tomatoes, sliced asparagus, Hokkaido camembert, Italian bocconcini, jalapenos and, finally, garlic.
