* Affected Area…In Nebraska, Antelope, Pierce, Boone, Madison, Stanton, Cuming, Platte, Colfax, Dodge, Butler, Saunders, Seward, Lancaster, Saline, Jefferson and Gage Counties.
* Winds…South 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* Relative Humidity…As low as 17 percent.
* Impacts…Any fires that ignite may spread rapidly and exhibit extreme fire behavior. Use extreme caution if engaging in any activities that could start a fire. Outdoor burning is not advisable.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Tuesday afternoon for much of eastern Nebraska, generally west of a line from West Point to Ashland to Beatrice and south of a line from Neligh to Pierce and West Point.
Low relative humidity combined with dry fuels and gusty southerly winds will combine to bring extreme fire danger to the area.
Wednesday through Friday
Thunderstorms will be possible over at least parts of the area from Wednesday night through Friday night. Right now, the chance of severe storms is low.
