Woman w/1 leg runs 102 marathons in 102 days. Video in blog.

Congratulations to everyone who ran the Lincoln Marathon yesterday. I was wondering if one woman in particular would make it to the race. Her name is Jacky Hunt-Broersma. Just this last Thursday she set a world record of running 102 marathons in 102 days. Also, she’s missing her left leg from the knee down after fighting a rare cancer. Originally, Jacky was going to do 100 marathons in 100 days, but someone else broke that record early in April. So, Jacky had to do two more. Then, for good measure, she ran another one on Friday, and another one on Saturday. I don’t think she actually made it to Lincoln. But I do know that she’ll be in Utah to run a 240 mile ultra-race in the mountains. By the way, the record for a man is 59, just a little over half of what Jacky did.
