What started as one woman just wanting to help feed people during Covid has turned into an international movement with more than 30,000 people helping feed nearly a million others. Rhiannon Menn says that she knew a lot of people who had lost jobs and were in need. So, one day she just fixed extra meals to take to them. That led to the founding of her nonprofit organization called Lasagna Love which is basically anyone, anywhere, being inspired to make a lasagna meal and take it to families in need.
The Lasagna Love Facebook page is filled with stories and pictures of people from round the world helping out with lasagna. It’s also a place where people can request a lasagna meal from someone participating in their area. There’s even some special lasagna recipes. In fact, they just won a $100k grant from KFC and have created a KFC inspired lasagna. It is literally lasagna made with mashed potatoes, gravy, and Kentucky Fried chicken in it. Watching Rhiannon make it made me hungry. Here’s the video recipe for it.
