Netflix will be crackin’ the Net-whips soon.

Netflix is done letting you take advantage of them. They’ve officially sent a memo to employees saying that they’re planning on restricting access to members who share a household. Sharing that password might seem like a little thing, but Netflix estimates that 100 million subscribers share when they aren’t supposed to.

That said, they are going to be rolling out a cheaper subscription that comes with commercials. According to the memo, it’ll be available October.

I think we have the 10 dollar plan. I’ve never shared my password with anyone outside of our house, but we’ve put Netflix on three tvs and two tablets. They didn’t say how they’ll do the restricting. I wonder if it’ll be limited number of devices. If they do, then the guest room TV is getting hooked up to a VCR. Seriously, we don’t have any working DVD players. But, for reasons that would take too long to explain, we have 5 working VCRs.
