On Monday, a State Patrolman in Washington pulled over a driver in a U-Haul for failing to secure his load with safety chains. You’re thinking, but Austin, U-Hauls are self-contained with a closing door. Why would someone need safety chains? Because, this joker was driving down the interstate with a Isuzu Rodeo sticking half out the back of the U-Haul. He’d somehow gotten the Isuzu inside the back of the U-Haul, mostly. Everything from the back wheels back was sticking out. Now you’re thinking, “Austin, why, if they had the chance to leave it behind, would anyone take an Isuzu with them?”
That’s a darn good question.
Any preconceived idea you might have about the driver is probably true. His license was suspended. The U-Haul was long overdue to be returned. Police impounded the Isuzu.
