Hey, starving artists, this story is for you. A robot without a soul has been given its own exhibition at a prestigious show in Venice. The robot, named Ai-Da, uses cameras in its eyes and has an artificial intelligence program to paint things. It looks like a woman, so I’m going to call it “she”. Her paintings aren’t up there with Michelangelo, but she’s got a better eye than me and a lot of people. They look like a series of organized splatters. They look kind of vague and blurred up close, but if you step back 10 or 20 feet, you can see what it’s supposed to be.

By the way, she’s a rich robot. She made over a million bucks in 2019 with her paintings.

What do rich robots buy? Do they fill Olympic pools full of motor oil and sip cocktails made from windshield washer fluid?
