Study infers playing video games increases IQ.

By Austin Michael May 18, 2022 | 6:55 PM

A new study seems to have found that playing video games helps increase intelligence in kids. The study was done to see how a wide range of digital media affects children. The video game aspect showed a small increase of intelligence of kids. I was surprised that watching TV and using social media didn’t have a positive or negative effect. That is, until I saw that they based it all on kids who spent 2.5 hours a day watching TV or online videos, 1 hour playing video games, and half an hour on the internet. Especially the internet part. Half an hour? A laughed out loud. I don’t know about your kids, but my nieces and nephews never put their phones down unless it’s to play a video game. I don’t know what they look at for all that time. I run out of things on my phone after 10 minutes.

By the way, the increase in IQ was only 2.5 points. That pretty much the difference between knowing and not knowing how to boil water.
