A woman had emergency surgery after swallowing her covid test swab

Covid tests . . . especially when YOU have to do it . . . are not fun.  Not enjoyable.  And you know that you have to go pretty deep with those test swabs, but not THIS deep!

How does this happen?  Eeee.

A 31-year-old mom in England (her name is Bobby) had emergency surgery after she used a six-inch covid test swab in her THROAT instead of her nose and swallowed it by mistake.

!!!!!!!

I can’t imagine and I don’t want to imagine what that was like.

By the time she saw a doctor, the swab was in her stomach and getting close to her intestines.  So if it went any further, it could have punctured them.  But they’d never seen a case like that, so they weren’t sure what to do.

They eventually decided to put a tiny camera down her throat . . . and ended up pulling the swab out.

!!!!!

Luckily, she’s okay and can laugh about it now.  No word on if she tested positive for covid or not.

SMH.

And if you care to know . . . here’s a photo of Bobby . . . here’s a photo of the swab . . . and here’s a photo of the swab lodged in her stomach.
