Every cancer patient in new drug study achieved remission.

Every patient in a small new study of a cancer treatment drug went into remission. Every single one. No sign of the cancer on Pet scans, MRIs, anywhere. The patients had rectal cancer. They were treated with a checkpoint inhibitor. It’s an immunotherapy that blocks proteins from bonding with others.

Again, this was a small study, just 19 patients and it will have to be replicated. I looked into the doctor behind it and he’s respected. So it all appears to be on the up and up. This would be amazing news it it holds. Never has a study been done where everyone benefitted from the trials. I had a friend who passed away from rectal cancer about 10 years ago. She was fairly young. I really hope they can replicate the findings.
