America has a new “Most Patriotic State”

By Bic Jun 21, 2022 | 1:20 PM

This new study is timely with the Fourth of July right around the corner.

WalletHub.com, like they do every year, released its ranking of the most patriotic states in America.  The study is based on military engagement and civic engagement.

So basically that includes things like the veteran population, how many people enlist in the armed forces, how many people vote, and how many of us volunteer.

The results are in and the most patriotic state this year is ALASKA.  Last year it was Montana, in 2020 it was New Hampshire.

The top 10 list looks like this:  Alaska . . . Montana . . . Virginia . . . North Dakota . . . Oregon . . . Maryland . . . Hawaii . . . Vermont . . . New Hampshire . . . and Iowa.

Who’s at the bottom?  Arkansas, followed by New York, Rhode Island, Florida, and Massachusetts.

Alaska, Virginia, and Wyoming have the most veterans per capita . . . Georgia, Alaska, and Texas have the most enlistees . . . Utah, South Dakota, and NEBRASKA ranked first in volunteers (I would be shocked if Nebraska didn’t rank first in the volunteer category) . . . and the states with the highest voting rates are New Jersey, Minnesota, and Oregon.
