A 10 year old girl from Kansas City discovered a brand new molecule. It’s not like she had a powerful microscope or a super computer or a giant lab. She did it using one of those 12 dollar molecule teaching tools. You know, they have little balls that you can connect with plastic tubes or sticks and look kind of like puzzles. Yeah, using that she put something together and asked her teacher if it could be real. He called up a chemistry professor who realized it’s a molecule that no one had ever thought up before. He wrote a paper about it then gave it an extra-long science sounding name. The professor said that it could be applied to make explosives. However, it’s a molecule that no one has ever seen occur in nature. So, someone would have to figure out how to slap it together in a lab.
If there’s one thing I know. If people think it can make bigger boom, they’ll figure out how to make it work.
