People bidding on abandoned storage units and suitcases filled with body parts; I knew it was only a matter of time. Go back 10 years when storage wars was on tv and you will find me half joking about how someone is going to stumble upon a serial killer’s trophy room.

Fast forward to today and, oddly enough, New Zealand where a family made the highest bod at an auction for an old storage until. Inside were suitcases full of arms, legs, and other chopped up bodies. Oh, it gets better. They packed everything up in their car, drove it a couple hours back home, and then waited until the next day to open them. I can see it now. They haul all the suitcases into the living room and gather round likes it Christmas and they’re about to unwrap presents. Dad smiles at mom. The children are giggling. Everyone is anticipating the possible treasures they’ve found. Father slowly unzips the first suitcase and flings it wide open, accidentally getting some blood on mom’s face. Then there’s a 10 minute chorus of screaming and throwing up.

Can you ever get in the car after that? Obviously they didn’t smell, but just knowing that you had body parts in the trunk or back seat. Since you paid, do you ask for the suitcases back? Does the storage place have to give you your money back after something like this?
