Futuristic floating home falls over into ocean at unveiling…. becomes floating failure.

Last month I talked about those new floating homes being built on the ocean. You might want to hold off on buying one. They were unveiling the first one off the coast of Panama last Thursday. In front of the crowd and all the investors, the pod like home tipped over and fell on the dock it was being launched from. The company that builds them said it began to destabilize towards the end of the launch event.

Which leads to a good question. If you are living in one off a coast and something goes wrong like that, what’s your recourse? It’s not like you’ll be in an area where you have access to a handyman. That’s even if a handyman know what to do with one of these things. Especially if they tip over. Is there a special escape boat or smaller pod that you can hop in and get jettisoned out and away in? You know, like James Bond did in one of his movies. It was a Roger Moore one where, at the end, he was in a special escape pod, with the Bond girl, in the ocean and it just happened to have a cheesy looking couch/ bed in it with champagne.
