This week’s at home pumpkin spice recipe; Pumpkin Spice Syrup. Pour it on pancakes. Add it to beverages. Use it in recipes. It’s really simple, literally. You’re going to make some simple syrup with brown sugar and water on the oven. When the brown sugar is dissolved, you’ll add in pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, cove, and ginger. The only real work you’ll have to do is that you’ll whisk off and on while it heats, but not boils, for about ten minutes. After, you’ll strain the chunks if puree out.
You can find artsy, glass containers at places like Hobby Lobby to pour it in. Then hand them out as gifts at Thanks giving dinner or Christmas.
Here’s the measurements: 2 cups water, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves, and 4 heaping tablespoons of pumpkin puree. This video will show you haw to bring it all together. Enjoy!
