Could you go without bathing for more than a year? An Iranian man didn’t for over 60 years. The World’s Dirtiest Man is what people called him. I say “called” him because he died recently. An Iranian newspaper is reporting that he slept in a hole in the ground in a small village and ate roadkill. Despite all that, he made it to 94 years old. He died shortly after he talked into finally taking a bath. The paper says that shortly after getting clean, he got sick and died.
People usually start to really stink after a few days. But after years, does the stink go away? I mean, all that ingrained, crusty dirt would have to act like an outer shell. I went without bathing for 2 weeks once. I was 11 years old, I think. It was at a Boy Scout Camp in Wyoming. There was a shower available, but I was too shy. I did swim in a river at one point. But there wasn’t any soap involved. I wonder what the ride home was like for everyone else.
