Storm shatters plane windshield, destroys nose, and fills pants of passengers. Vids from inside of terrifying flight in blog.

I think my fear of flying came back today. Have you seen the video from that flight in Paraguay the other night? For whatever reason, the pilots decided to fly through an intense storm. The severe turbulence was the least of it. They were getting it by hail while flying at 300 miles an hour. It broke the pilot’s windshield and destroyed the nose of the plane while they were at 30,000 feet. On top of that, all the lights were out in the plane while lightning strikes were happening just outside the windows. It lit it up light a haunted house. I think the plane was being struck. You could hear the hail hitting the plane. People were screaming. The video looks like it’s straight out of a disaster movie.

They were able to make an emergency landing. Looking at the pictures of the nose of the plane, it looks like a giant claw reached up into the sky and swatted it. The windshield doesn’t appear to have a hole in it, but it looks like Plexiglas that’s been hit hard, creating so many cracks and wrinkles that you can’t see through it anymore. How did they land the plane? Did the pilot roll down the side window and stick his head out to see? I know what it reminds me of now. It’s like the scene in “Twilight Zone: The Movie” where the gremlin is on the wing tearing things apart and John Lithgow is freaking out. That’d be me.
