I hope you had a great Halloween full of fun and treats. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that way for a neighborhood in Detroit. They had to close down a street or two because of a cockroach infestation. An empty home was teeming with them and it spread to other homes and basically got out of hand. In order to keep it from spreading further, no kids were allowed to go in the neighborhood. As one official stated, they didn’t want roaches hitchhiking on kids’ costumes into other areas.
One of the local tv stations there sent a reporter to the neighborhood to do the story. I wonder how he felt. His boss is like, “There’s this neighborhood that is so full of roaches, that the city won’t let kids in. They’re afraid the roaches and eggs will get on the kids. So, put on your best tv suit and get in there!” It could be a new episodes of Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe.
