Getting in a van full of strangers in the middle of the night sounds like a fun road trip, right? This was actually a good thing. Recently, a flight in Orlando was canceled. It left a bunch of people needing to get to Knoxville out of luck. Two passengers decided to rent a van and drive there together. Then one of them decided to invite everyone else. So she announced that they were renting a van and to follow here. 13 people did. Then the group spent ten hours getting to know each other on the road in a van. A few became good friends.
The moral is, when God closes a plane door, he opens a van door. Or something like that.
Would you have jumped in with a group of strangers? I like being tossed into unknown and sometimes uncomfortable situations just to see what happens. I’ve met a lot of really nice people just from sitting down at a table full of strangers at events.
